I haven’t done an on the needles post in awhile, but I have something pretty cool (and EPIC) on my needles right now…..
This is the beginning of a swap gift….I’m using some of my leftover sock yarns. The pattern is Leftovers Cowl and it’s really a lot of fun to knit!!

I actually finished a hat which used a skein of my Knit Picks Imagination yarn…
I also gifted a skein of Wollmiese from my stash in a swap package that went out this past week…
As far as incoming stash goes….
I received my Random Fandom skein from Nerd Girl Yarns….This one is inspired by Skeletor and I am in LOVE with the colors!!
And I received these 2 sets of minis from the Downton Abbey swap…I’m counting these as 1 skeins as they add up to the equivalent of a skein of this yarn base…They will likely be used in a single project as well….

I also did not finish any projects this week. I’m knitting a hat and a shawl right now so hopefully there will be some outgoing skeins on next week’s report.

I placed yet another Knit Picks order…I really need to lose that url soon LOL
I bought 6 skeins of Brava Bulky to test knit a baby blanket for a friend and 5 skeins of Gloss Lace to knit Viajante using this lovely lace yarn 🙂
I also managed to finish a couple projects…
A set of 5 coffee cozies which used the equivalent of 1/2 a skein of sock yarn
I also finished a test knit shawl (the pattern has not yet been released) using 2 skein of Malabrigo Finito. I am completely infatuated with this yarn and really want to knit a sweater using this lovely yarn… I still need to block the shawl, but it is off the needles

I had a pretty good week as far as my epic yarn stash is concerned!!
I finished the last 2 dishcloths I have been knitting….
And I finished a the Vittorio Shawl using a skein of Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere in the Celebrating the Games colorway…LOVE IT!!
Only 3 skeins of yarn were added to the stash this week and all of them were gifts!!
I won this skein of Fresh From the Cauldron Schoodic Sock in the Lady Macbeth colorway as a prize in a Knit Along….isn’t it lovely??
I also received my swap box from the Loopy Swap #12 from Vicki and among other fun goodies was a skein of Sock that Rock Lightweight in the Scaponia colorway and Loopy Solid series in Vintage Rose….Can’t wait to use them both…

Well it was a much better week in the world of stash containment!
I used more skeins than I acquired…YAY!
I finished a test knit scarf which used 1 skein and a worsted weight shawl that used 1.5 skeins. I don’t have finished pictures of these yet, but I’m happy to have them done!
I also knit 3 dish cloths that used 1/2 a skein of Dishie yarn for each cloth…
My Nerd Girl Yarns March Random Fandom yarn also arrived….It’s called Rage and is inspired by 28 Days Later. The base is called Dingo…

Another mega stash enhancement week….sigh….One day I will be able to pass up a sale and refrain from ordering sweater quantities of yarn….This is not the day though… Knit Picks thinks it’s funny to send these crazy little emails every week to let me know that they are having a sale….and of course I couldn’t pass the Brava sale up… I now have 14 skeins of Brava Bulky in Solstice Heather that is earmarked for Lemongrass. Since the yarn is bulky weight it should knit up pretty quickly 
I also ordered 5 skeins of Dishie cotton yarn which will become dish cloths for a swap gift 
Then The Loopy Ewe announced the next challenge. Knit a project using at least 250 yards of variegated yarn. I chose Dream in Color Smooshy with cashmere in the Celebrating the Games colorway. I plan to knit Vittorio 
The last skein is a special edition colorway from Fresh From the Cauldron. It’s part of Jen’s Sons of Anarchy series and is called Happy. I cannot wait to knit this one up!! 
I also managed to finish a couple of projects….YAY!! My Clapotis used up 2 skeins of FFtC Schoodic in the Hades colorway
I also finished a secret project that used 1 skein of yarn (I can’t show a picture yet though)

It’s been awhile since I’ve done an on the needles post, but I just have to share this lovely scarf that’s currently on my needles.
The yarn is Skinny Bugga from the Sanguine Gryphon (this dyer has now split into 2 different companies) and it has been languishing in my stash for years! I love the merino/cashmere/nylon yarns so very much!!
The pattern is called Cables & Lace Scarf and I’m test knitting it for Leah Michelle Designs (love her patterns and have tested several)

Well I warned you that this was gonna be a HUGE yarn report week. It was kinda scary just taking pictures of everything..
On a good note, I finished a super secret swap project (that I can”t share pictures of yet) that used a 1 skein of yarn….Woohoo!
And now for the confession….
I went to Michael’s last weekend and discovered that they now have some luxury (MCN) sock yarn!! Had to pick some up as well as some pretty bright Kroy sock yarn that will likely become a scarf gift for someone on my list…
Then on Monday I received a swap package that included a yummy skein of an alpaca blend yarn that is SUPER SOFT!!
Also a couple more skeins of Lollipop Yarns arrived (one from an update and one from a destash)…This yarn is super hard to catch for sale and I’m thrilled to have some more of it!!
Then the Knit Picks BIG BOX arrived….OMG!! There is enough there for 3 pairs of tweed socks….and 1 full colorwork sweater and the accent colors for 2 more colorwork sweaters to use with yarns that I already have in my stash….all total, the Knit Picks box contained 44 skeins of yarn (those loose skeins are sitting on top of 20 skeins of bagged yarns)….Keep in mind, most of it is worsted weight so it will knit up fast, but OMG I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole!!
